Paz do latim Absentia Belli, é a ausência de violência ou guerra. Neste sentido, a paz entre nações, e dentro delas, o objetivo assumido de muitas nações "Paz não é apenas a ausência de guerra entre os países.
Paz é garantir que todas as pessoas tenham
moradia, comida, roupa, educação, saúde, amor
compreensão, ou seja, boa qualidade de vida.
Paz é cuidar do ambiente em que vivemos,
garantir a boa qualidade de água, o saneamento
básico, a despoluição do ar, o bom aproveitamento
da terra.
Paz é buscar a serenidade dentro da gente para
viver com alegria os bons momentos, ter força e
boas idéias para enfrentar os problemas e
resolver as dificuldades. Isso tudo sem precisar
fugir.
Acima de tudo, PAZ é criar um clima de harmonia
e bem-estar na família e na comunidade,
lembrando-se sempre de que onde há amor, há
paz; onde há paz, há Deus; onde há Deus, nada falta
